Neuromuscular Therapy & Massage Therapy
The road to massage therapy was not an easy or straight path. I was in college and training to be an officer in the United States Army. I planned on making a career out of the military but those plans were interrupted when I was in an accident during a training exercise. The accident left me in a wheelchair with severe back spasms for hours on end every night. I was not fit to serve in that condition so I was dismissed from continuing training with the Army. I saw countless doctors, physical therapists, and specialists and all said I would be this way the rest of my life. Frustrated and out of options, I returned to Greeley when a family friend told me about Fredrick Vasquez, a Neuro Rehab Specialist in Greeley. I figured it couldn't hurt. The Fredrick not only told me that this was not a permanent injury, but that I would fully recover if I stayed diligent with what he told me to do... "Ice, ice, ice, stretch, stretch, stretch". He explained everything and went to work. When he finished, I was walking again! I had renewed hope but I still had to do my part. Three determined months later, I was back to normal! Amazing... I continued with college and earned my bachelors degree at the University of Wyoming. During college I began to realize my passion for helping others the way I was helped. I asked how I could learn to do what he did. He told me to obtain my massage license and come see him for further training...and so I did.
After attending the Academy of Natural Therapy in Greeley, I received my license and certification in massage therapy. I joined Fredrick Vasquez at his practice, and under his tutelage I was able to start Sereff Neuromuscular Massage.
I was born and raised in Greeley, CO and I am grateful I have the opportunity to practice here. My wife ,Clarissa, and son, Jamie, are my constant support and drive to be a better husband, father, friend and therapist.
